The Royal Oak Master Plan process is underpinned by a robust public engagement program to capture residents’, property owners’, and other invested stakeholders’ opinions, preferences, and visions for the community’s future. This page provides details on current and upcoming opportunities to provide input into the process – your participation is critical to the Master Plan’s success.

Survey 2

Survey 2 is now closed. The consultants will analyze results and begin working on the first draft of the master plan.

Survey 1

Survey 1 was run between February and mid-April, 2023, to gauge broad resident sentiment across a number of subject areas.

Future surveys will pay particular attention to targeted topics that arise during the prior survey(s) and in-person engagement activities – focused on testing specific concepts in the draft Master Plan.

Round Table discussions are an opportunity for community members to learn about the Master Plan process. During these discussions, stakeholders can provide early feedback on priorities and strategic issues.

Charrette

Charrettes are workshops that consist of intense design and public engagement, during which future plans are drafted with stakeholder input and review.

The master plan process thus far has consisted of listening to stakeholders, analyzing current conditions, and studying previous planning efforts. The Charrette is the first step in creating plans for the future, in partnership with the community. Please join us to provide your input!
